Catching Up, Scribblenauts, and Youtube.

Ahhhh!!!!! I haven't seen you in forever!!! *Runs over and pinches your cheeks like that crazy aunt that you see every Thanksgiving* Aww, you've all gotten so big! My how you've grown!
So... Yeah, I'm back! Sorry for the GIANT wait. And I do mean giant, it's been like 3 months since the last time I blogged, and I feel bad about that. I mean, I know I was your main source of information, and without me your connection with the outside world was lost, but I hope you managed! I'll do better, I promise... I'll try at least. Now, let's see what I can do with this ol' typewriter again. I've missed you, typey.

Ok, so as you can already tell, I haven't posted in a while. So this first part is complete rambling. I'll be spanning about 40 million topics in the course of a paragraph or so. On my mark, get set, GO!

I saw 2012 the other day, you know, the movie I bashed about 4 posts ago? Yeah, it was about as bad as I expected. It's not that the effects were bad, cause they weren't. It was the logic behind some of the things that happen. The main character (I don't even remember his name. Yeah, he was that important.) is divorced and takes his kids on a camping trip, and they end up finding out about the big disasters leading up to the big day. So, as time passes, this guy manages o jump a crack in the earth with a Limo and an RV, and races through a crashing building with the Limo, with the car nearly unscratched. The RV lands, but the ground then crumbles beneath it, and before it falls into the molten core of the earth, the guy grabs a map, sits there for a minute, and still manages to crawl outta this thing safely. Hmm, what else, you may ask. How about a Plastic surgeon who just happens to have taken flying lessons prior to these disasters, only one or two, but doesn't have any problem flying a propeller plane... and a Jet. Yes, he flies a jet after 1 or 2 lessons of flying. Way to go Hollywood logic. You've failed us once again.

I got a new album! Well, I bought a new album, I've gotten several new ones. The album I bought is called A City Dressed in Dynamite by That Handsome Devil, and if you had to check out one song from this album, I'd suggest Squares. It's awesome. I'm gonna go ahead and see if I can add it to the playlist!

My birthday has passed in the long period I was gone. I got a Nintendo DS, which is pretty freaking awesome, considering some of the games I have, which is a nice lead in into...

SCRIBBLENAUTS!!! Oh my goodness this game is the best thing ever!! I'm not exaggerating either, this is one of the most amazing games I've ever played. The concept is very intriguing, and the database is astounding. This game challenges the mind AND creativity. The goal of the game is to get your character, Maxwell, to the thing that gets him to the next level, called a starite. How do you go about achieving this? Well, there are 2 ways to play. Action levels, and challenge levels, and I'll go into both in depth momentarily. Regardless of which you choose, the game is played the same way, you think of objects that would allow you to obtain the starite, be it as ordinary as a glass of lemonade, or as complicated as a time machine, its in there. It's all in this enormous 24,000 word database. One of the great things about this game though, isn't even the levels. When you start the game you enter "Sandbox Mode" which lets you test all these different interactions and see what all you can make. Put robots against zombies, pirates against ninjas, etc etc. Anywho, I told you I'd elaborate on the game modes, and that's what I'll do. Challenge mode is the default mode, and the object of this mode is to fulfill the requirement so the starite will appear. In action mode, you're shown where the starite is, and all you've gotta do is get it. Pretty simple, yes, but the most amazing game you'll ever play! If you own a DS, get it... NOW! Go!

And finally, I'd like to talk about YouTube briefly. I'm seriously thinking about making videos WAY more frequently. Cause right now, the rate is about once a year? Haha, so that oughta change. Make sure you keep that checked! Subscribe even! http://www.youtube.com/karatechess

Once again, sorry for the lack of blog in forever. Good work on not dying without me! See ya soon (and I mean that!)

9, Bach for the New Millenium, and Beardfish

Why hello again Blogosphere! I haven't seen you in a long long while. Have you missed me? No? Well, I didn't miss you either!!! Jerks... Just kidding. Sorry for the giant hiatus between blogs now a days guys. I've been really really busy. Between Band and guitar lessons and homework and band and... band, I hardly get a chance to breathe, much less blog! So, until marching season dies, blogs may become few and far between. Which isn't cool, because I have just as much fun writing these as you have reading them. Or, as much fun as I wish you had reading them.

9 was, as I expected, a fantastic movie! It brought in aspects of the short film, and explained things quite well. It's one of those movies, though, that if you don't pay attention, you're gonna be extremely lost. But if you do pay attention, it's a great story of humanity, teamwork, leadership, and all the rest of the good things that that one teacher lady taught you in Sunday school when you were 4. I'd have to say that the movie takes much more effect if you've seen the short film first. It just ties it all together and I HIGHLY recommend this movie!

So, as I said above (that is, if you read the intro to the blog, which I'm sure half of you didn't) Marching Band is taking up a hefty chunk of my time, Tuesdays and Thursdays till 6pm, and Fridays until at least 10:30pm to be exact. Therefore, I figured I'd tell you a little bit about our show. Our show this year is called "Bach for the New Millennium" and is a very fun show. The three parts of our show are Neo-toccata, Modern Ayre, and Fugue Fantasia. (Click on the titles to listen to the song. If you want to see us performing the show at half time, I'll post a list of links at the end of this blog post.

Beardfish, in case ya didn't know, which I'm 99.98% sure you didn't, is a Swedish progressive rock band from Sweden (I was purposely redundant.) They are pretty successful, seeing as they have released 5 albums so far. They were scheduled to play with Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Zappa Plays Zappa, and Opeth (I think) in the Progressive Nation 09 Tour but unfortunately Beardfish AND Pain of Salvation had to back out do to financial problems of their record label. They recently released a new album called "Destined Solitaire" and it's quite good if I do say so myself. I will put some Beardfish songs in the playlist for everyone to enjoy!

As I promised, here is the list of our shows (with links)
Clinton Game
Sevier County Game

Powell Game
Webb Game

And, this concludes my oh so incredible (sarcasm) blog. Thanks for sticking around this long and please endure the wait as marching band slowly dwindles to a close. Just try and not lose interest, thanks!

School, Mutilation of People's Childhood Memories, and Webcomics

Hey. Yeah, hey, you there. Sitting on the other side of this screen, yes you. I see you. How's it going? Oh, well that's good! Me? Well, I'm not dead, so that's always a plus. I'd like to personally apologize for neglecting this blog, and you. Yes, you. I have deprived you of my mediocre writing skills. (Brad, how could you!?!?) But I'm back! And I'm here to blog, so... read. Read! READ!

It's the end of August, and what's that mean!? School is back in session. (Alice Cooper lied to us!!! How dare you?) Now, I love hanging with all my friends, but I'm not loving the homework. That's part of the reason I've been so out of the blogosphere lately. My schedule has been Wake Up, Eat, School, Homework or Marching Band, Eat, Sleep, Repeat. But I'm really enjoying my new teachers. I had to do a PSA on Lab Safety for Biology, and here are the bloopers. (Original video link is red.) I had so much fun making that. Best assignment EVER!

If you remember this far, think back to 2005, when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was released. Yes, i mean the remake starring Johnny Depp and other people you haven't heard of. Now, I'm sure you're all thinking to yourself, that was... very interesting. Way to screw up my childhood happiness. Now, if you know the Willy Wonka Slogan, say it to yourself. "What will they think of next?" Quickly, think about a Disney movie that was based on a book by Lewis Carroll. Yes, if you thought of Alice in Wonderland, you are correct! Tim Burton has decided to screw up your since of innocence once again by recreating this timeless classic. And what better way to generally mess with someone's head than casting Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter?

Oh, I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear you over the little Children's screams. I've also heard rumors of a dark Wizard of Oz. I think people are just trying to scare people with Children stories now. Directors are trying to outdo each other in the creepy factor. Congratulations Tim Burton, I have a feeling you'll win this battle.

Ahh, webcomics! I love webcomics so much. And I'm not talking about the political ones, because I've heard enough politics for a while. I'd much prefer listening to music. I'm talking about the ones that are intentionally dumb, or funny. I'll list some of the comics I frequent here shortly. I'm talking about stuff like this:
Ahh, XKCD, you never fail me. Here are the 3 comics I frequent.

XKCD: More for the computer-geek demographic.
Wondermark: There's really no demographic here, just hilarity.
Cyanide and Happiness: This is ok usually, but its really dark at times. So, I suggest the other 2 first.

So, there you have it. I hope you enjoy. Come back for seconds, or thirds. Or 21sts. Or however many you want. Just come back and read. Enjoying it is good too, but as long as you read it, its all good. See you soon, Brad.

2012, 2012, and 2112

Hello, if you think that the title to this post is Binary, you are both an idiot, and know nothing about binary. Yes, those ARE 2's up there, so binary is an impossible explanation. If you don't know what I'm even talking about, well you're just made of fail then, aren't ya?

Everyone will DIE on 2012. They will stop what they're doing and burn. Just burn. And die. Death. Apocalypse. Death. More death. Everything gone. Dead. Everywhere. Ponies. Pancakes. Death. Annihilation. More ponies. Waffles. Death. OKAY, so we aren't going to die. There's no reason to worry, especially considering the main reason everyone is freaking out. Ok... the Mayan Calender happens to end on December 21, 2012. Whoopdee freakin doo. Wait, weren't we all supposed to die a few years ago anyway? What? We were? Um, so am I dead, or did it not happen? That's what I thought! I personally will be throwing a party on that day if I'm in town, because we won't be dying, and if we somehow do, it'll be all together! Any of my friends that are reading this, party at my place on Dec. 21st 2012.

Speaking of, someone has decided to make a movie about this 2012 theory. I don't know much about this movie, but it looks kind of dumb. I think the creators believe a giant water monster is coming to eat the world. A boat crashes into the White House and destroys it. Oh, according to this poster, the water monster joins forces with the land and street monster, in what I can only imagine to be a horrible make-shift transformer. Even better, its being released on November 13, 2009, a few days after my birthday! It looks like a heart-warming flick that will find it's way into the hearts of millions as the year's most powerful tear-jerker. The creators/ marketing staff of this movie have made a website where you can join a "lottery" to see if you will be one of the few people saved from the catastrophe that is 2012. There is a graph that shows approximately how many people have joined in this lottery, and how many "tickets" are left. They say they are reaching maximum capacity, meaning you can no longer get "tickets," but if you ask me, THIS, doesn't look like it's reaching maximum capacity. It looks as if Australia is a bit worried about this. We'll see how things turn out...

2112 is not a year. It's an album... by Rush. What!?!?!?! You haven't heard of Rush? You really ARE an idiot, aren't you? (I realize I'm insulting my fan-base right now. It's ok, they can take it.) I will update my playlist with songs from said album. I don't have too much to say about this, I just thought I'd keep the number thing going, and update my playlist, because I got beat to it by a certain someone!

Thanks for reading this, even though it wasn't very thought out or well done. This post isn't nearly as good as some of my others, so I'd read those instead. I promise my next post will be better. I swear to it. So stay tuned! No, NO! Put that remote down! You can not change the channel! No changing th... And now we're selling this beautiful one of a kind blue pearl necklace for a cost of $20.99. 6 payments of that. Yes, this could be yours for the low low pri... Really? The Home Shopping Network? 9, Typography, and Empty spaces

Hello, and welcome to another exciting edition of "The Blog No One Reads!" I'm your host, also known as the author, or Brad to some. If you don't know the rules, they're simple. Read my blog and you win. Don't read it, and we both lose. And I don't like to lose. I'll (insert cliche term meaning "You will either die or be beaten up by my friends in the Mob" here) if ya know what I mean.

9. Simple as that. One less than 10, one more than 8. 9. Not to be confused with Nine. 9 is a movie coming out this year that I am really looking forward to. So, it comes out in 2009. Can you guess what day it comes out? If you guessed anything other that September 9th, I will have to kill you and try to preserve what little common sense you have. Think about it, it's a movie called 9. So it makes since to release the movie on Sept. 9th. People will remember "I want to see 9 on 9/9/09." It's all a major marketing scheme. 9 is really difficult to explain, so I'll just let you look up the short film on Youtube. This movie is going to be simply amazing, if previews prove correct. It's being directed by Shane Acker, the director of the short film, and produced by Tim Burton (we all know him) and Timur Bekmambetov, most known for directing the movie Wanted. If the fact that Tim Burton is producing isn't enough, the trailer for this contains the song Welcome Home by Coheed & Cambria, and the MPAA has rated this ANIMATED movie as PG-13 for Violence and "scary images." So this should be an amazing movie, and I recommend you go see it. Ya know, when it comes out in September. Here is the the trailer for the movie 9. And here is the original short film to give some background on the story. Oh, and here is the trailer for the movie Nine that comes out in November that you don't want to see. It looks like a musical about making a musical...

Anyone ever heard of typography? It's pretty cool, actually. You basically make pictures with words or letters. There's not much to say on the subject, I just thought a few people might be interested in checking some stuff out. It's not an easy feat, but the results are pretty cool. You can find all sorts of typography everywhere, good and bad. You just have to search a bit. There are some videos of typography that are cool too.

This Space Intentionally Left Blank

And that brings me to my next point. YOU CAN'T WRITE ON THE SPACE YOU INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK THAT YOU INTENTIONALLY LEFT IT BLANK!!! That just doesn't make sense. How can something be blank when there is obviously something on the page?! That's... how can I even compare that to anything? The irony is just too much. It's like wearing a shirt with the phrase "I'm not wearing a shirt." written on it. It's like a No Right Turn traffic sign right under a One Way sign pointing to the right. It's like telling people you are a strong activist for Animal Rights as you sit there eating a breakfast consisting of Eggs, Steak, Bacon, Sausage, Ham, and a Pork Tenderloin Biscuit. It just makes me want to pull my hair out!

Well, that's all for tonight. I hope that was informative, although I'm not sure what the moral is. Oh, yes I am. The Moral is: DON'T WRITE ANYTHING IN A SPACE YOU WANT BLANK! And for the people who recognize any mistakes in my blogs *coughdadcough*, I DO know the difference between Your and You're, as well as the differences between They're, Their, and There. And Two, Too, and To. Well, I better be done for now. I'll blog again soon enough, and you'll enjoy it! See ya!

The Client, Tom Sawyer, and Drum Corp International (Oh, and 206 viewers)

Wow... It's been a long time since I updated this thing. Better dust off the ol' typewriter and put more paper in that spool thing. I've got another Multi-media week for you (kinda) so buckle up and read. Well, don't buckle up, cause you aren't in a car... Unless you have a blackberry, in which case, yes, buckle up while you're in the car reading. Unless you are driving, cause you shouldn't be reading while driving. Have someone read it to you.

Book Review of the Blog
At long last, I finished The Client by John Grisham. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has several twists in it, and it's very suspenseful at parts. It's fast moving from the beginning, so it doesn't take long to get into it, unlike some books. If you like reading, but hate waiting for a book to hook you, this is the book for you. If you hate reading, but want me to be happy, read this book. Go out to your local "McKay's" or "Books-a-Million" or any used or new book store, buy this book, and read it. If you're looking for a summary, you can look one up... or you can keep reading. Basically, two boys, Mark and Ricky Sway, go out to smoke a cigarette that they took from their mom, when a black car pulls up. The man gets out and plugs a hose in his tail pipe, and through the window. He's trying to commit suicide, and the kids try to stop him. Before he dies he tells Mark some information that the FBI want in regards to a very urgent and big case. The FBI will do anything to get the information, the Mafia will do anything to keep Mark quiet. What happens from there... I'm not telling you. You just have to go read it. I'm not joking. Go buy it now.

Tom Sawyer... I'm so glad you're on the reading list for this summer. (GIANT SARCASM) Mark Twain, WHY, oh why did you have to write a book with so much southern dialect? I just find this book a little hard to read. This book is not for people that are sleepy, or easily confused. The dialect is just hard to get used to. (Warning, hypocritical stereotype ahead) I know, I should be able to understand it, I mean, I was born and raised in Tennessee. (It was a joke. I hate when people from around here get beat up by Hollywood and the media for being "Hicks." We aren't.) It just kills me. (Oh, and just for kicks, I put the song Tom Sawyer on my playlist. Haha)

The High School I go to sent the Marching Band to the DCI show today. If you don't know what DCI is, it stands for Drum Corp International. We saw The Mandarins, Blue Stars, Blue Devils, Blue Coats, and The Glassmen. I think that was all. Anywho, I had a great time at the show. Got to hang out with a lot of friends. My friend Aaron spent 14 dollars on Skittles (poor child. But I got 2 and 1/2 free bags out of it) and Blue Devils won. I think Blue Coats should have gotten first, I liked they're show more, but Blue Devils had a good one too. Congrats Blue Devils.

I'd also like to mention that I now have had 206 viewers! Thank you to everyone who checks my blog frequently, and anyone who tells their friends to check out my blog. You people are awesome, and I'll make sure to update more frequently. Thanks for reading guys, and check back soon for more stuff! Bye

My Epic Wall of Awesome, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and several reasons I'm a blogger INSTEAD of a Vlogger

Aloha! If you are starting reading the blog from the top-left, that means "Hello!" If you happen to be reading it backwards (What's wrong with you?) it means "Goodbye!" Either way, thanks for reading the blog. Oh, and I'd like to give a shout-out to the 5 people who I know read this blog on a semi-regular basis. Hi you 5, you know who ya are! :) Thanks for coming.

With the advances in technology, there is no longer use for 33 and 1/3 inch discs of vinyl that require a needle to play them, so what better way to remember the good ol' days (before I was born, mind you) than by hangin' up the covers all over your wall? You're right, there isn't a better way. So, here's a video explaining it, and showing it off! (It's a major work in progress) So, there's that for you. I'm hanging up record albums ALL over my room in an attempt to be amazing. So far, the only downside is Peter Frampton staring at me while I sleep... Great! I didn't even think about that until now. Thanks internet!!!

Movie Review of the Blog!

I recently went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in theaters with a few friends. I must say, the effects of this movie were much better than the previous 5. But, let this be warning to you, if you haven't read this book yet, and intend to before reading the movie, prepare to be disappointed. Or, that's what I'm gathering from people on a forum I visit. If you haven't read the book, and go to see this movie, you should enjoy yourself (like I did.) There are, like always, flaws that I feel obligated to point out to you all. The big one, the one everyone complains about, is when the Half Blood Prince tells Harry that he is, in fact, the Half Blood Prince. It should be the most dramatic moment of the whole film, but instead, it's much more like an offhanded remark. Like they added it in just because that was the title. A more appropriate title would've been Harry Potter and the Potions that make everyone that Ingests one High. Yeah, EVERY potion that the characters take, knowingly or not, makes them act like they just snorted a pound of Marijuana or something to that effect. I would've given this movie a much better rating if it hadn't ended like X-Men Origins: Wolverine ended. It just stops! I hate it! But still an overall good movie. See it in theaters, its better that way.

If you've ever been on Youtube, you know what "Vlogging" is. Basically, it's like blogging, but for people with speaking ability. I blog because I have no interest in being tormented by the trolls on Youtube. They don't really bother me, but I have no need to fuel the troll torch. Not like they need any help with that. Wow! I got off on a tangent about trolling.

So, to the REAL point I had on vlogging. It just seems like to much effort. Vlogs seem like they need to be maintained once a week, on a strict schedule. With blogging, I don't have to stick to a strict schedule that requires me updating every single Saturday. Also, I don't have to get dressed up to blog. In Vlogs, you have to make sure you don't look like you just woke up. Well, I look like that when I blog half the time, so there's another reason. Don't get me wrong, if you are good at it, then keep doing it. There are definitely some amazing Vloggers out there, such as the Vlogbrothers. They are really awesome, and you should click that link in the red right over there. Oh, and DFTBA. That link works too. But, to put it into an analogy, Blogs:Writers::Vlogs:people good in the public eye. So, lucky for you, I'm gonna stick to blogging if that's ok. Thanks.

So, that pretty much wraps up tonight's blog. Stay tuned for more exciting blogs! If you're reading backwards OR forwards, Aloha!

100 Viewers, Transformers 2 (Shut up, I'm talking about it again... just read it! *spoiler alert*) and CHUCK NORRIS!!!!!!! *gasp*

Hello and welcome to my blog. It's nice and cozy in here, blankets are in the corner over there, gather round the fireplace and I'll spin a story... or something to that effect. Anyway, I'd like to congratulate you for being visitor number >100! See, look over at that view counter, the number is over 100! :) Thank you if you're one of the people that constantly hits refresh to see that number go up. Wait, what do you mean that's only me?!?! Just kidding, kinda, but all those matters aside. I couldn't have hit 100 without the help of those 4 or 5 people who constantly check out this blog. Thanks, your gift is in the mail. (Psh, your gift is air, I don't have money!)

Transformers 2... What can I say about thee... Well, to start, after seeing you 3 times, I realized just how much you SUCK!!!! This movie is very very bad. Don't even bother reading my first review of the movie way down in my 2nd (not sure if it's second) blog. I saw it once, it was pretty good, then the 2nd time, it was not nearly as good, and then the 3rd, and it SUCKED! Some questions I'd like answered: What was the use of the blond robot, Alice, besides one more hot girl, and more explosions? Why didn't Sam just use the all-spark shard that he used to revive Jetfire to revive Optimus? If the Decepticons already have the shard from the Government, why do they need the one from McKayla? Why is God seemingly depicted as a bunch of Primes when same dies? Why don't they just get in one of the autobots in the desert instead of running for it? I think THIS (Pst, click where it says "THIS") pretty much covers it. But I've heard from a close friend that giving all the characters (especially Megan Fox's character) mustaches with your hair makes it sooo much better. I was sitting right next to her, and at first it seems kinda odd looking, but I think i was definitely worth it... Let's give it a try, shall we?
Not too bad! And Shia?
I prefer Megan in the beard actually... But wouldn't the movie have been more entertaining that way??? Of course it would have!!!!

CHUCK NORRIS!!!! With all the recent celebrity death, I thought of something. What happens when the invincible Chuck Norris dies? I think the world will end... I'm not even joking, this could be as disastrous as 2012, or kittens, or something to that measure. (Yes, I think the whole concept of the end of the world coming in 2012 is rather ridiculous, and I'll blog about it later.) But, I'm not sure what the world will come to. I think it'll be more devastating than Michael Jackson's death (which, even after 2 weeks is STILL getting coverage... Media, why can't you be reporting on something useful like the crap going on in DC rather than What's going to happen to MJ's pet chimp Bubbles. Yeah, NO ONE CARES!!!)

So, on that note, I'm off. Thanks for checking out my blog. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Please check back soon, subscribe to my RSS feed, follow me on this, or whatever you feel like doing that reminds you about this. AND FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER!!!! CLICK THE BIG LETTERS!!! I will let you know when I update the blog, so that's a good way to keep in touch. Any suggestions for topics can be sent to j.brad.hill@comcast.net. Make sure the topic is "Blog Suggestions" or I won't read it if I don't know the address. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see ya soon. Night.

UP, Skillet, and Inkheart ( Multimedia Day I guess...)

Hola, for English, press 1. For Spanish, too bad, you're outta luck. Thanks for coming back if you are one of the few, the proud, the visitors of my blog. Today is a very special "All 3 topics are music or movie related" post. Ok, not so special, it just happened to end up like that. Also, I didn't really notice, but ALL my posts have the topics set in groups of three in the title... Hooray for the random things I notice!

Movie Review of the Blog Pt. 1
I went to see the movie UP in theaters recently, and I have to say, this is one of the best animated movies I have seen ever. Pixar and Disney have really outdone themselves on this one. It's a great movie with a touching plot, and enough funny parts, even for the older audiences, to be a film for all ages. I highly recommend seeing this movie. While my viewing experience wasn't the greatest, (no digital projection and not too great picture quality makes for a not so great time) it's still a very sweet movie. And it has a moral, for all you parents out there who read this for movie reviews... No parents read this I don't think.

More Album Excitement!!!
Skillet is releasing a new album, Awake. The street date is set for August 25th 2009. From the 2 released singles, this is going to be their best album yet. I enjoy Skillet, but only a portion of their stuff appealed to me all that much. I really enjoy the 2 singles, I mean REALLY. It's quite a bit heavier feeling than their other music, which I like. The vocals sound a little different too, and I like the new sound better. The sound HAS changed, but it hasn't changed like Guns N' Roses sound changed with Chinese Democracy. That was a very drastic change. Anyway, I'm gonna be buying this album, and giving a full review for it once I give it a good listen through. For now, the 2 singles are in my playlist. Plus, LOOK AT THAT COVER!

Movie Review of the Blog Pt. 2
Inkheart, based off the book Inkheart, is a nice action/adventure movie aimed for all audiences. It's packed with action and excitement. As the plot unfolds, there are a few twists that one wouldn't expect. A few things I don't like about the film... The evil villain that the slightly less evil villain and his henchmen are trying to unleash is a shadow. A big giant scary shadow... I hate when the worst possible thing you can think of is faceless and about as much of a menace as a pet gerbil. Another thing, why is the daughter british? The dad isn't, the mom wasn't, but magically, the daughter is. I think some DNA testing is needed. Other than that, the movie is pretty awesome, and I recommend it.

Well, that's it for tonight. Key points for the post: Watch UP, get the Skillet album dropping August 25th, enjoy the 2 singles in my playlist, and watch Inkheart if you get around to it. Thanks for reading! Night.

More Celebrity Death, July 4th Fireworks, and 12 Rounds

Hey everyone, it's me again. You miss me? I forgot to blog yesterday. I'm sure all four of you were heartbroken. Anyways, in Recent News, Steve McNair was shot to death yesterday, July 4th. He was found with a fatal shot to the head. WHY IS EVERYONE DYING/BEING KILLED??? I don't want to be too serious on this blog, but seriously, this needs to stop. I'd also like to mention that Michael Jackson is getting WAY to much coverage. I mean, some coverage is okay, but he's been dead a while, lay off please.

JULY 4TH!! The one day everyone gets together and blows stuff up, usually illegally, and doesn't get in any trouble! Fireworks are God's gift to Pyromaniacs. I mean, you light something on fire, said thing blows up mid-air, and then they make a giant noise. That, my friend, is winning on every different level. Shot off some bottle rockets (ooooo, top notch stuff there) and a model rocket. My neighbor packed the parachute thing into the rocket. It didn't deploy, and we aren't sure where it went. Some poor sap may have a model rocket stuck in his windshield. Alas!

Movie Review of the Blog
Today, I saw the movie 12 Rounds starring John Cena. (yeah, he's a pro wrestler. Is there really a difference between pro wrestling and acting though? No.) It was actually a very good movie. I think, if I had to choose between this and Taken, which is a very similar movie, I'd pick this one. I simply enjoyed this movie more. It seemed like more of a mystery/action movie than Taken, which was pretty straight forward comparatively. Everyone's acting in this movie was phenomenal, and the character's were very believable. Lots of plot twists and suspenseful points make this movie a very good one. I would recommend seeing this. John Cena is a very good actor, which surprises me, because, as I said earlier, he's a pro wrestler. And there are plenty of explosions to keep even the least of attention spans entertained. If you are a Comcast subscriber, it's available On Demand.

So, that's it for tonight. I'll see ya tomorrow.

Marching Band, An Endless Sporadic, and TAGS GALORE!!!!

Once again, Welcome to my blog. It's an exciting new world filled with adventure and fun! And I will personally give everyone that follows my blog and/or votes in my poll ONE FREE INTERNET, via this site right here. Ooo, Ooo, Click ME!!! Just sign up, and I will give you an internet, just to show you how awesome I think you all are!

Hooray for more Album excitement! As you may or may not know, (depending on how you got here) An Endless Sporadic is releasing a new album sometime in the near future. While we don't know anything about the album, including name or release date, we do know it'll be 33 minutes long. We don't even know any track listings, track names or anything. ALL we know is that it's 33 minutes, as I said before, and that it will be released as a physical copy, unlike their last EP, which was only available online. EP album art to the right. I will also be putting songs from said EP into my playlist for decision making help... and for kicks. I love their stuff.

Marching Band started today... I'm not going to go into too much detail. I'd like to say, seeing my friends for the first time after a while is always fun, but marching and playing for 3 hours straight isn't. So there's that.

Also, I FORGOT to tag my last post, so I'm going to tag this one with tags from both, so if this post is irrelevant to what you came here for, Look below. Thanks for reading, and please come back. It's lonely here, with only 40 some hits. I'd love more, so tell your friends, and they can have one free internet too. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Hmm... Blog Frequency, Pitchmen Finale, and Transformers 2!

Oh hey there! If you are one of the 3 people that keep up with this blog, WELCOME BACK!!! If you're just joining us, welcome, and enjoy the stay. I hope your lodging is accommodating and you're comfortable. Room Service costs... never mind. So, not much has happened today. Much less than yesterday I think. Once again, I'd like to mention the book I'm currently reading, The Client by John Grisham. Very well-written and easy to get into.

In other news... Blog Frequency. How often do you all think I should update this thing? I'm putting a poll over there >. Yeah, you see that thing over there with the different answers on it? That's called a poll. You pick the answer you like! Good job! Please vote. Also, if you didn't notice I added a view counter on the sidebar!

Discovery Channel put on a giant tribute to Billy Mays today. Played a Pitchmen Marathon all day. If you don't know what Pitchmen is, it's a show that Anthony Sullivan and Billy Mays both star/starred in. It takes a behind the scenes look at their jobs, and how the products go from idea to millions of them sold. The finale was simply amazing though. Billy was not happy about Vince (The ShamWow guy) stealing two of his very early products and re-advertising them. So he decided to counter-attack Vince. It was a very funny episode, with a tribute to Billy at the end which was actually very touching.

Movie Review for today
Occasionally I'll write a review for a movie I've seen recently. Today's movie review... Transformers 2. I, despite the critics ratings, really enjoyed this movie. Was it my favorite movie of all time? No. Is it in my top 3? No. Is it better than the first? No. BUT, it did what it was intended to do, which was produce a summer popcorn flick that would draw in audiences and satisfy people's craving for explosions and giant robots. I'm not saying it deserves any kind of award, because, let's face it, the acting was pretty OK, nothing spectacular, but it deserves more credit than its getting from critics. I'm not giving any spoilers, but let me just remind you that the plot in EVERY movie involving two ethical standpoints is, Good Guys always win. Transformers 2 is no different. Oh, and I have heard a lot of controversy about the Twins in this movie. Saying they were Racial and what not. Here's my opinion on that. They were only racist if you consider them racist. I mean, c'mon, they're robots... While, yes, you can relate the robots to humans, i don't think you can very well display a certain race in a robot. So, I don't think it was racist unless you assumed a certain race. I took them as gangster wanna-bes (which appear in every race...) Sure the movie had some childish jokes, and maybe a few immature ones, but overall, the movie did what it needed to do to get a fair amount from the box office. Linkin Park also apparently contriubuted substantially to this movie's soundtrack, and I will put their song in my playlist momentarily.

That's all for now everyone. In short, R.I.P. Billy Mays, Vote in the Poll on the Right, and go see Transformers 2 for yourself and never listen to critics. Thanks for reading.

First Post! (Oh, and Happy Celebrity Death Month apparently)

Good morning Blogosphere. I'm new to this whole blogging thing, so cut me a little slack. I've got a Twitter, which is basically a mini-blog from what I've heard. 140 characters aren't really enough for a day's activities. Well, lately it has been. Translation: I've had nothing to do lately but read. Summer reading lists SUCK! I mean, I know it's only 4 books, but it's Summer. I personally enjoy reading as long as I'm not told what to read. I read for fun. I don't like reading assigned books at all. So far at least. I'm currently working on The Client by John Grisham. I'm in chapter 4 (started the book today) and so far it's very interesting. He wrote this book quite well. I'll letcha know how I like it once I'm done.

In other news... R.I.P to the 6 dead celebrities that died this month. Especially to Michael Jackson and Billy Mays. (Not because they were more worthy of it or whatever. Their's were just soooo unexpected.) For those of you who didn't know there were 6, I'll post links to them all.

David Carradine
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jackson
Billy Mays
Fred Travalena

(Pssssst... Click on the names^ )

I'd also like to mention that George Clooney and Rick Astley are both very much alive, contrary to some speculations.

Oh, btw, I'm very excited about the new release of Dream Theater's
latest album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings. (see right) I had to go to about 3 different places to find the 3 disc edition, but I found it! And may I just say, it is a wonderful album. Enough heavy stuff for the metalhead in all of us, but enough soft parts to touch our souls. Haha, so maybe I was exaggerating there. But, this album is very well done. I give it 2 thumbs up. :) The covers of Queen and Iron Maiden are also great, and I would definitely recommend the song Wither to anyone, even non-Dream Theater fans. Ok, well, for now, I'm off. Hoping this is a good start to a mediocre blog. Thanks
